This weekend in Bellevue, the Stars were placed in the top pool of the NW Premier Showcase. The Stars played their two pool play games on the main court at Bellevue College. The Stars were up 8 in the second half of their opening game against Drive, before the team from Vancouver, BC, stormed back to beat the Stars 75-66. Drive, featuring a number of Division one recruits, practices at the old NBA’s Vancouver Grizzlies practice facility.

In their second game of pool play, with a spot in the top bracket on the line, the Oregon Stars knocked off Eastern Washington Elite 54-46. This placed the Stars in the top bracket against Total Package Blue who went 2-0 in their pool play games. The Stars came out with the victory, 60-55, moving them into the final four of the tournament and matching them against FOH Seattle.

The semi final games of the NW Premier Showcase took place on Sunday morning. On the main court Drive played Boise Flite’s 2014 team and the Stars played FOH on the side court at the College. The Stars were down as many as 14 in the second half, but battled back and fell just short, 62-58.

The Oregon Stars matched up against some of the top teams in the Northwest and showed they are one of the elite teams in the region this year! The Stars, now 7-4 on the season, head to Tacoma next weekend for the final weekend of the NW Champions League.
