Mark Winans

Mark Winans, who has played for the Stars for the last two seasons, signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Colorado School of Mines, a NCAA Division II school located in Golden, Colorado. The Diggers are currently ranked in the top 15 for Division II schools and is also one of the best academic schools in the country. Mark, who has a 4.0 at South Medford High School, will join the team in the fall of 2014.

Pryor Orser, head coach of the Colorado School of Mines speaks very highly of Mark. “Mark is the consummate program guy. He has a super-high motor who redefines toughness and competitiveness. I had the privilege of coach his father and Mark is a clone of Charlie’s toughness and work ethic, and is a flat-out winner. He is a good combo guard who can make shots and sees the floor well. Defending is also very important to Mark, which translates well to our program.”
